It’s no secret living with daily chronic pain is a challenge.
Unfortunately, this is the reality for over 50 million Americans.
Talk to most doctors and their go-to prescription for managing chronic pain is opioids.
It’s not because doctors don’t care about their patients.
Doctors have been trying to understand how pain works for decades…
Searching for the best ways of managing chronic pain.
But recent research suggests that there might be a beacon of hope on the horizon.
And it has to do with cannabinoids.
In December of 2020, Postgraduate Medicine Journal published a new study.
In this study, scientists asked participants to take CBD capsules instead of their usual opioid medications.
Participants took two CBD capsules every day for 8 weeks.
More than half (53%) of chronic pain patients either lowered or completely went off their opioid medications.
Plus, 94% of patients said their quality of life improved by the time the study came to an end.
And that happened after only 2 months of taking CBD supplements!
While we need a bigger study to completely seal the deal between CBD and chronic pain management, this particular study looks promising.
And please note I don’t suggest CBD will cure or treat any disease.
But what I am suggesting is CBD can help you maintain a pain-free body without nasty side effects like opioid painkillers.
